Meetup is a generic website for EVENTS, that has a CALENDAR, and an Email list with a theme (hiking, biking, singles, cultural events etc )and it's for doing EVENTS IN REAL LIFE!    It's a tool to help people MEETUP!   There are over 250+ MEETUPS in Pittsburgh Region from Social Events, Hiking, Cultural Arts, Computers, Photography, Social Events, Dogs, Divorce, Singles and more! HERE ARE 22 OF THEM! FYI: Meetup is a website and an app (in my opinion the app needs work) where each group has a theme in an area (example Pittsburgh hiking group) and does events related to that theme.  Some meetups are social, some are just informative.   These are the more active meetup groups in the area.  A useful way to meet new people and do new things.   1.  FREE & ALMOST FREE IN PITTSBURGH Meetup!   For events in the Region that are $5 to FREE!  Most of these events are informational not social (hosted).
